Inverness is the useful bed for this coast. Glenmorangie is east of the city, in Tain, across the Cromarty Firth. Treat that as the visit for the day, then come back or stay in Tain.
Royal Dornoch is the links in Dornoch, and it wants the morning. Nairn is east of Inverness, on the train. Brora is north of Dornoch, and Tain and Golspie sit between them. Cabot Highlands is at Dalcross, by the airport, which is not the same as a round in town. The chocolate counter on Castle Street is the other Dornoch door. Fortrose, on the Black Isle, is a links of its own, not the brewery day.
North of Inverness, on the Black Isle, the brewery at Old Allangrange offers tours through the afternoon. Munlochy is the town. The farm is the pin.
John o’ Groats has 8 Doors, beside the car park, with the Pentland Firth in the glass. On 10 October 2026 their tours were a summer season, finished at the end of September, so a winter plan starts by reading the page again. Wick and Thurso are the stations. The last bit is a bus or a taxi, and the night belongs up there.
