What is this?
A Scottish guide to distilleries, breweries, bars, and the hours around them. The about page has the longer version.
Can I book here?
No. The button on a place opens the venue's own page, and that is where the hour and the booking live. We do not add a fee, because we never see the payment.
Is every distillery on the map?
No. These are the doors checked so far, and closed works stay off. The whisky, gin, and beer pages are the current lists.
How do I choose a visit?
Start from the place, or from the glass. The palate finder asks a few questions and points at a visit already on the map. The answer stays in your browser.
How do I get there?
Trains, coaches, and ferries are in Getting there. A written day, when there is one, sits with Things to do.
Can a venue be added?
Yes. A distillery, a brewery, or another place that belongs on a day out can write to themaltedmap@gmail.com.
