Walk
Holyrood Park
The park under Salisbury Crags, next to Holyrood. The summit is a climb. The lower paths are the gentler day.
Holyrood Park sits under Salisbury Crags, beside the distillery on St Leonard’s Lane. The pin is the park, not a single gate. Arthur’s Seat is the top, and it is a steep, open climb. The roads and lower paths are the version for anyone who does not want that.
It sits beautifully with a Holyrood tour, or instead of one. Paths close more often than a distillery door, so the Historic Environment Scotland page is worth a look. Not every path suits a wheelchair. The lower ones are the gentler hour.
- Suits
- Arthur's Seat is steep and exposed. Lower paths in the park suit more people. Check Historic Environment Scotland before you promise a buggy the top.
