Watercolour of a birch path and a river

Walk

Glen Nevis

The glen under Ben Nevis. The visitor centre is the start. The lower falls are further up the road.

Glen Nevis runs south of Fort William, under the mountain. The Ben Nevis Visitor Centre is the place to begin: free to go in, with a car park that charges. The distillery at Lochy Bridge is on the other side of town, and quite happy to be tomorrow.

WalkHighlands describes a route from the centre to the lower falls at Polldubh. Parts of that path are informal, rough, and often wet, and the full circuit is a half-day. With a mixed party, the centre and the view of the glen are the kind version. Their route notes are worth a look before the falls get promised.

The centre is the easy stop. WalkHighlands' route on to the lower falls is longer, rough in places, and often wet.
