The Devil’s Advocate is at 9 Advocate’s Close, a narrow entry off the Royal Mile. On 10 October 2026 their site listed Sunday to Thursday from noon until midnight, and Friday and Saturday until 1am, with food until 9.30pm. They say the building has stairs. It is a place to eat as well as to drink, which makes it a kinder end to a day than a standing-room bar.
