Watercolour of oak casks in a stone warehouse

Lochaber and Mull

Tobermory

On the harbour in Tobermory. The day includes a ferry from Oban, so protect the return sailing.

Tobermory Distillery stands on the harbour, under the painted street. The rest of the family day can be the waterfront itself, which is why this is one of the few visits where the outing and the venue share a village.

The missing piece is the ferry. CalMac sails between Oban and Craignure, and the drive up to Tobermory takes the best part of an hour after you land. If anyone is tasting, stay on Mull. A last tour and a last sailing is how people miss the boat. Check CalMac when you pick the date.
