A brewery on the pier at Uig, where the ferry comes in, open through the day and shut for the serious holidays.
The brewery is on the pier at Uig, which is also where the ferry noses in. Cliffs, weather, and a beer that started as a joke in a pub in 1992. The first brew was Red Cuillin, in 1995. They still make it, as Skye Red.
On 10 October 2026 they listed the door open every day from 9.30am to 5.30pm, closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 2 January. Talisker is the other side of the island, in Carbost. Uig is its own morning. The ferry timetable, as ever, has opinions.
