BrewDog Ellon
The Ellon brewery, north of Aberdeen, with a booked tour and the DogTap taproom on the same estate.
BrewDog’s Scottish home is at Balmacassie, on the edge of Ellon, north of Aberdeen. It is a proper outing from the city, not a wander from Union Street. On 10 October 2026 the tour was listed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, about an hour and a half, from £20, through the brewhouse, the beer museum, and a look at the offices, with tasters along the way.
The tour is a working site. They say it is about 40 minutes of walking and five flights of stairs, and they ask you to tell them about access before you come. DogTap, the taproom attached to the brewery, is the place if the rest of the party would rather a play park and a shuffleboard than a staircase.
