Prestwick, Royal Troon and Turnberry, and the links between Troon and Irvine.
Prestwick held the first Open, and Saturday is members only. Royal Troon is the Old Course on Craigend Road. The public courses in the town, Lochgreen among them, are a different booking. Turnberry is south of Ayr, and the Ailsa wants the day.
Between Troon and Irvine, Western Gailes, Dundonald and Gailes Links are three clubs on one stretch of dune. Troon, Prestwick and Ayr all have stations from Glasgow.
