Oban Chocolate Company
A small chocolate workshop on the esplanade, a few minutes' walk from the distillery. You can watch through the window.
Oban Chocolate Company is at 34 Corran Esplanade, on the seafront, a short walk past the north pier from the station and the distillery. They make the chocolate by hand. The shop and café look through a window into the workshop, and their page says you do not book and you do not pay to watch. The busiest making, they say, is late morning to early afternoon, mostly Monday to Friday.
On 10 October 2026 their hours page said they were open six days, 10am to 5pm, and closed every Wednesday from 20 September. It also said the times move, and to phone. The stills and the chocolate are the same afternoon only if one person is tasting and everyone else is walking the esplanade. Not if the same person is trying to do both.
