Watercolour of a birch path and a river

Walk

McCaig's Tower

A town walk from the station clock to McCaig's Tower, with the distillery and the bay in the same hour.

Start at the clocktower in Station Square, the same short walk from the distillery and the ferry. Oban Walks takes the route along the promenade and up to McCaig’s Tower, about 2.6 kilometres with steps and some steep pavement. They allow half an hour to an hour.

The tower looks down on the distillery and the bay. A fine hour on its own, or once the tour is over. The Mull ferry prefers a morning that has not been hurried up a hill.
